Malden Councilor Sheds Light On Fellsmere Pond Flags
Councilor-At-Large Craig Spadafora spearheaded an effort to replace the lights, which were determined to be obsolete.
MALDEN, MA — The flags flying over Fellsmere Pond are once again illuminated, thanks to an effort led by Malden Councilor-At-Large Craig Spadafora. Spadafora worked with All Tech Electric to find special LED lighting after finding the burnt out lights at the site were obsolete.
The light pole's location at the water's edge proved challenging for repair crews to access. Spadafora helped secure the necessary equipment and rented a lift. All Tech Electric Business Owner John Spadafora donated his time to install the new lights.
The lights were installed on new poles and now reach a distance of about 80 feet, surpassing their previous range.
