MALDEN, MA — The Department of Public Works announced that the city yard will be closed on weekdays until further notice.
The closure was enacted to facilitate the construction of Malden River Works at the location on 356 Commercial St. The yard will remain open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for yard waste drop-off only. Trash, recycling, and other bulk items will not be accepted. According to the city, drop-off rules and policies will be strictly enforced during the week.
The Malden River Works Project aims to improve stormwater management infrastructure, climate resilience and public access along the Malden River.
