Malden Fire Department's Rating Upgraded
The extraordinary upgrade was the result of numerous improvements to the Fire Department and the water supply system.
State Senator Jason Lewis along with State Representatives Paul Donato and Steve Ultrino recently presented Fire Chief Jack Colangeli citations from Governor Charlie Baker, the House of Representatives and the State Senate in honor of the recent upgrade of Malden’s Insurance Services Organization’s (ISO) rating from a 3 to a 2.
Mayor Gary Christenson was also in attendance and thanked Chief Colangeli for the Fire Department’s hard work in reducing the risk to our community.
The extraordinary upgrade was the result of numerous improvements to the Fire Department and the water supply system along with upgrades in apparatus maintenance and training, according to city officials.
