Malden Nonprofits Have A New Opportunity With This Grant Program
The program will award nonprofits and community organizations financial assistance.

MALDEN, MA — Mayor Gary Christenson announced the launch of the new Community Connections grant program.
The program will fund Malden-based nonprofits, grassroots organizations, and community groups, events, and art projects on an annual basis. The program’s budget is estimated to be approximately $200,000 per year. The program will be administered by Malden’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development. The OSPCD will make recommendations to the mayor for who to award. Christenson said the program will fortify the connection felt between community members.
“These grants will empower local organizations to bring neighbors together, find joy in community celebrations, and help all our residents feel at home in Malden,” Christenson said.
Applications for the program’s inaugural season are being accepted through Monday, June 30. The city will notify winning applicants by August.
