“Lucienne Mondesir, a longtime resident of Malden, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
“ Lucienne was born and raised in Haiti. After completing high school, she married her sweetheart, Claudel Accime. They came to the United States together, and in 1996, they settled down in the Malden area.

“ Lucienne attended Roxbury Community College and became a Nurses Aide. She had worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and at Hebrew Rehabilitation Center until her illness forced her to stop working.
“She had consistently helped family back in Haiti with care packages of clothing. She enjoyed playing piano and had been taking lessons.

“ Lucienne also was active with bible study, and participated with groups in many different churches.
“She is survived by her children, Marc Constantin of Malden, Claude Accime of Malden, and Lucinda Accime of Malden, and her brothers, Jean Claude Mondesir of Haiti and Jacques Mondesir of Canada. In addition to her parents, Lucienne was preceded in death by her husband, Claudel Accime.
“Funeral Services will be held at the Elm St. Baptist Church, 202 Elm St, Everett, MA on Sat, May 2nd, at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
“Visitation for Lucienne will be held at the Weir Funeral Home, 144 Salem St, Malden, on Friday, May 1st, from 4 - 8 PM.”
