Police Commend Witness; Information Leads to Arrests
An astute witness provided a detailed account which, along with physical evidence and other interviews led to the apprehension of suspects.

Malden Police commended a resident who witnessed a house break in progress and reported it. The information led to the arrest of a man and a woman.
The attempted crime occurred about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 9, in the area of Glenwood and Glen Streets for a report of a break into a residence in progress.
Numerous uniformed and plain clothes officers canvassed the area and witnesses were interviewed.

“An astute witness provided a detailed account which, along with physical evidence and other interviews led to the apprehension and subsequent arrest of these two individuals. The witness who provided detailed information is to be commended for assisting the police in this investigation. We always encourage citizens to contact the police if something looks suspicious or out of the norm. We often rely on people who know their neighborhoods best to assist us in matters,” said Detective Lieuntenant Marc Gatcomb.
Jessica Lee Roussell, 31, of Dorchester, arrested for breaking and entering daytime for felony, malicious destruction of property under $250 and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Derek A. Bouchard, 36, of Dorchester, arrested for breaking and entering daytime for felony, possession of a burglarious instrument, malicious destruction of property under $250 and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The two suspects were arraigned at Malden District Court for the offenses.

These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
