'Trash Holiday' Returning To Malden At End Of The Month
The holiday spans a week in which residents do not have to use the city-sanctioned blue trash bags.
MALDEN, MA — The office of Mayor Gary Christenson announced that the city’s “Trash Holiday” will be returning the week of Monday, Dec. 30 through Friday, Jan. 4.
During that week, the city’s blue bag requirement will be lifted, and residents can use regular trash bags. The purpose of the exception is to help residents manage excess trash that is usually accumulated during the holiday season.
No large clean-outs of properties are allowed during the week, and one bulk item is permitted per household. Recycling protocols remain the same.
