Water Leak at City Hall; Several Departments Temporarily Relocated

Due to a water leak in Malden City Hall on Monday, the Engineering, GIS and Assessor’s offices will be closed until further notice.
The leak appears to have been caused by a faulty boiler valve. The leak is under control, according to city officials, but the cleanup is still underway.
Facing the building, the leak seems to have affected the back, right corner of the building. Several offices have been temporarily relocated in the mayor’s office, Room 627, in City Hall.

The School Department Offices (Central/Superintendent, SPED and Business Office) will be closed until further notice but school officials will be monitoring emails.
