Celebrate Labor Day Locally
Here are 5 Patch picks of things to do this Labor Day weekend.

With a not-so-nice start to Labor Day weekend, here are some suggestion for the long weekend that won't take you far from home.
Stay Put - This is what being a New Englander is all about. Stay in and safe while Hurricane Earl swirls off the coast.Â
Browse and Buy - The annual art work show on Marblehead Neck is Saturday and Sunday (rain date Monday) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art works in a variety of mediums will be on display on the lawn of 280 Ocean Avenue.Â

Walk - What better way to celebrate Labor Day than by exploring history locally? From 10 a.m. to noon Judy Anderson will lead a tour through town. The tour will focus on Revolutionary War era Marblehead. Cost is $5 per person. Meet at 170 Washington St.
Look - Marblehead in Black and White: Recollections 2010 is an exhibit of early photographs documenting daily life in 19th century Marblehead — when bicycles ruled the byways and life by the seaside seemed a little less complicated. The exhibit is sure to evoke nostalgia for some visitors and daydreams for others. The exhibit runs until October.
