Sweet Tradition Returns To Salem For 24th Year In 2026
The Salem's So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival will feature 25+ sculptures, a Chocolate Hearts Challenge, discounts and giveaways.

SALEM, MA — A tasty midwinter treat is returning to Salem for the 24th year in February.
The Salem's So Sweet Chocolate & Ice Sculpture Festival is set for Feb. 6 to Feb. 8 — featuring more than two dozen ice sculptures, an illumination party, a chocolate scavenger hunt, discounts, giveaways and more.
The event is designed to spark tourism and help businesses downtown ahead of the spring season with three days of tastings and shopping in time for Valentine's Day.

Salem Main Streets and the Salem Chamber of Commerce host the event that kicks off with a ticketed party and late-night shopping on Friday and continues through Sunday.
There will be evening illumination of the ice sculptures both Friday and Saturday night.

The Chocolate Hearts Challenge is an interactive game in businesses throughout the weekend with prizes for participants.
Many local shops will be offering sweet treats and deals, including some complimentary items.
The kickoff event on Friday includes three sessions where attendees can receive a free pour of wine in a commemorative glass and a goodie bag of sweet treats. That will be held at Peabody Essex Museum's Connect Space at 135 Essex Street.

Outdoor activities are free to attend.
