Police Log: Downed Trees and a 'Blonde Moment'

This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log on Thursday, June 24 until Friday, June 25th at 7 a.m.

  • At 10:26 a.m. Thursday, there was a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 255 Pleasant Street and 2 Devereux Terrace. The cars involved were a 2009 white Toyota Camry and a 2002 Acura SE. There were no injuries.
  • At 10:51 a.m. Thursday, a woman called police to find out if the police department had towed her car since she was unable to locate it. Her second set of keys and purse were left in the vehicle. Police began searching for the car and found it at the intersection of Watson and Pleasant streets. The caller told police "she had a blonde moment" and recalled the events of the night before. She remembered she had left the car at Crosby's overnight.
  • At 3:48 p.m. Thursday, residents on Mohawk and Jane Road heard a loud "bang" and then power went off. The electric company was called to fix the problem.
  • At 5:40 p.m. Thursday, the tree department removed a branch down on Lafayette and Birch streets. Another tree was down on Atlantic Avenue. Police were also called to remove a tree which hit a gray Volvo on West Shore Drive. No one was injured.
