42nd Worcester-Middlesex Senior Conference To Be Held In Person
The 42nd annual Middlesex and Worcester District senior conference will take place in-person for the first time since 2019.
MARLBOROUGH, MA — A long-running conference on issues affecting senior citizens will return in April as an in-person event — a first since the coronavirus outbreak three years ago.
The 42nd annual senior conference typically takes place each spring for residents in state Sen. Jamie Eldridge's Middlesex and Worcester District, which covers Marlborough, Sudbury, Wayland, Hudson and others.
The 2020 senior conference was called off entirely, but the 2021 and 2022 events were held virtually.

State Senator Jamie Eldridge (D-Marlborough) is proud to announce the return of the in person 42nd Annual Senior Conference this year, for the Middlesex and Worcester District, after being held virtually for the past two years. The Senior Conference will be held on Thursday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough, where it has traditionally been held.

The Senior Conference is intended to provide seniors with a day of useful information, entertainment and educational workshops from expert guest speakers on topics including aging well, solo aging, and resources for caregivers and family members. Senator Eldridge also provides free breakfast, and a delicious free lunch made by the culinary students of Assabet Valley.
“I’m excited to bring the Senior Conference back to Assabet Valley, in-person, with the opportunity to catch up with seniors from throughout the Senate district that I represent, and provide seniors with critical information, as well as entertainment, fun, food, and of course raffle prizes, including the Big Chair from Bouvier Pharmacy of Marlborough,” Eldridge said. “I look forward to hearing the concerns of seniors, discussing state initiatives to better support older residents in Massachusetts, and highlighting the work of the Legislature so far this session.”
This event will be held in-person after a virtual two-year hiatus at Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in Marlborough. Program topics include Resources for Seniors, Yoga, Trivia, Vendors, speakers from the MA Legislature, and as always: raffle gift giveaways. He will also be welcoming back the in-person event with a special music performance by local Marlborough music group, Flashback Band.
