Congratulations to Michael Mongeau, of Marlborough, who was honored Friday at UMass Dartmouth for his completion of the prestigious Massachusetts Life Science Center Internship Challenge program this summer. “I am extremely proud of the interns who participated in this cutting-edge program,” said Governor Deval Patrick. “This program is enhancing the talent pipeline for our businesses, and helping more students get a jump start on careers in the life sciences field.”

There is a book signing at from noon to 1:30 p.m. Marlborough resident Tom Hall has written a book, "Spectrums," with proceeds going to Marlborough Hospital's new Cancer Pavilion. “Spectrums,” which is Hall’s second novel and second self-published book, is the story of a young woman who transfers from UCLA to Tufts. Shortly after that happens, Hall said, her life begins to accelerate in ways she could never have imagined. “Spectrums” will be available for $15.
