Alicia Nicole Gill, Gone at 28

Services will be held at Metro Church Tuesday, May 31.

Alicia Nicole Gill, of Marlborough, and formerly of Virginia Beach, VA, died Friday, May 27. She was 28.

Gill was born Dec. 4, 1982, in Norfolk, VA, and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, where she attended and graduated Kempsville High School in 2001. She earned an associate's degree in ministry from the Life Leadership Training Center at Wave Church in Virginia Beach, and later graduated from the North American Montessori Center with the class of 2005, specializing in preschool/kindergarten Montesorri education. 

After finishing school, she was lead Montessori teacher at Wave Childrens Learning Center in Virginia Beach, and after arriving in Marlborough last year, she worked as a dedicated nanny to the Miller family of Southborough.

She also became very involved with in Marlborough, where she is fondly remembered, and will be missed. 

"Alicia Gill was our personal friend and the assistant to our children's pastors at Metro Church," said Pastor Don Braswell. "She came to us a year ago from the 5,000 member Wave Church in Virginia Beach were she was a member/worker from childhood. An exemplary Christian and dear friend, Alicia will be missed but never forgotten."

As of Saturday morning, friends had begun posting many memorials on Gill's Facebook wall, saying she would always be loved, and never forgotten.

Gill enjoyed working with children, and had a deep love for God and her family.

Her family said she was a positive, encouraging and selfless person who passionate about her love for God, who enjoyed sharing that love with children.

She was predeceased by her grandmother, Alice B. Moran, and grandfather, Robert L. Moran.

She is survived by her parents Keith and Nancy Gill, of Virginia Beach, VA; her twin brother Jason Gill, of Marlborough; her grandparents Lynn and Fran Gill; aunts and uncles: Sherry Tompkins, Randy & Linda Gill and Robert Moran; as well as cousins: Michael and David Tompkins, Christopher Gill and Nathaniel and Mary Ruth Moran.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m. at , 401 Elm St.

Additional services, to be held in Virginia Beach, are still being finalized. 

In place of flowers, donations may be sent to the children’s ministry of .
