MARLBOROUGH, MA — Marlborough has a preliminary election coming up on Tuesday — but you don't have to wait until then to vote.

The Marlborough City Clerk is offering an early voting period Thursday and Friday for the 2023 mayoral preliminary race. Four candidates are on the ballot, and the top two vote-getters will advance to the general election in November.

Registered voters (the deadline to register in the preliminary passed last week) can head to Marlborough City Hall, 140 Main St., to cast a ballot between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.

With Mayor Arthur Vigeant retiring from office at the end of 2023, At-Large Councilor Samantha Perlman, Ward 3 Councilor Christian Dumais, Marlborough police officer Patrick Hogan and resident Michael Baker are all competing to win the seat this year.
