Fresh Air Fund Celebrates Its 136th Summer

Families from Northborough, Shrewsbury and Marlborough participated in this summer's Fresh Air Fund.

The Fresh Air Fund celebrated its 136th summer of serving New York City children, with families in Northborough, Shrewsbury and Marlborough providing homes to kids this summer season.

The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877.

Fresh Air children experience simple pleasures like running barefoot through the grass, gazing at star-filled skies and creating memories that last a lifetime. Through the eyes of Fresh Air children, families often rediscover the beauty of their own communities.
