Fresh Air Fund Celebrates Its 136th Summer

The Fresh Air Fund celebrated its 136^th summer of serving New York City children, with families in Northborough, Shrewsbury and Marlborough providing homes to kids this summer season. 

The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer vacations to more than 1.7 million New York City children from low-income communities since 1877.

Fresh Air children experience simple pleasures like running barefoot through the grass, gazing at star-filled skies and creating memories that last a lifetime. Through the eyes of Fresh Air children, families often rediscover the beauty of their own communities.
