Highlights in Social Media
A new column that highlights the trends, thoughts, and news from Facebook and Twitter.

Here at Marlborough Patch, we take social media pretty seriously.
The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook, Twitter and other media throughout the past week.
We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

- Jocelyne Durrenberger, of the MetroWest Animal Awareness Society, made a plea on our Facebook page earlier this week for the safe return of a lost cat. We re-posted this plea in our lead spot. As far as we know, this much-loved pet has not yet been found.
- The Massachusetts State Police are always out on the roadways trying to keep the driving public safe, and our readers our always vigilant to spread the word when there are safety checkpoints in the area.
Social Media Page of the Week
For those who are interested in local places to hang out with friends around coffee, snacks and an inviting environment, check out The Coffee Loft on Lincoln St. Their young Facebook page has a few "Likes," but help them spread the word by giving them a few more. And when you get a chance head on down and have the mango iced tea; it's delicious.
