Man Arrested in Police Parking Lot After Leaving Marlborough

A Waltham man was arrested in a police department parking lot after leaving Marlborough Wednesday.

A Waltham man trying to make his way home from Marlborough late on June 5 was arrested by the Sudbury Police Department after taking a slight detour.

According to acting Police Chief Scott Nix, officers on patrol that night noticed a car that had pulled in to the visitor parking space in the Sudbury PD parking lot at about 11:45 p.m.

Officers observed the car was still running, and when they checked on the motorist noticed he was passed out with his foot on the brake. The car came to a stop up against the curb.

After officers completed an investigation, Armando S. Olmedo, 34, of 35 Dartmouth St., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.

Olmedo reportedly told officers he was heading home from Marlborough and thought he was still in Marlborough when he pulled over into the parking lot.

Olmedo was held overnight and bailed out the next morning.

He was scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court later that day.
