The team has also mounted a fundraiser to support travel for the world series. The team is trying to raise about $25,000 for the entire trip, and was just under $14,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.

"Obviously, there are a lot of expenses associated with going to something like this, so we wanted to start this page to try and help defray some of the costs to give these boys a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!" team manager John Kirejczyk said.
