Marlborough Harbor Freight Tools Store: Official Opening Set

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Harbor Freight Tools will open its new Marlborough store on Saturday, but will open doors early on Thursday with a special giveaway, according to the California-based retail chain.

The Harbor Freight Tools location will take over a former Marshalls store at the plaza at 230 East Main St. near Ocean State Job Lot and Market 32.

Shoppers can head to the store on Thursday and get a free measuring tape while supplies last. The store officially opens Saturday at 8 a.m., and the store will be open seven days from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Harbor Freight sells a variety of tools and hardware, but in a smaller format than chains like Home Depot and Lowe's.

"The store will stock a full selection of tools and equipment in categories including automotive, air and power tools, storage, outdoor power equipment, generators, welding supplies, shop equipment, hand tools and much more," the company said in a news release.

The Marlborough store joins more than 33 other Harbor Freight locations in Massachusetts. There are other stores nearby located in Natick and Worcester.
