Marlborough Pastor Heads to Boston Following Tragedy

Marlborough Pastor Eric Sahlberg has headed into Boston to minister to those in need following the Boston Marathon bombings.

A few blocks from where tragedy transformed the 117th running of the Boston Marathon, Pastor Eric Sahlberg will be ministering to those in need.

"Prayers and personal counseling will be offered to all those seeking help during this difficult time," he said.

Sahlberg  is the minister for ConnectingPoint Church in Marlborough, which reached out Monday to hold a prayer vigil following the two explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line.

“This evil sometimes doesn’t make sense but in the end Jesus wins," Sahlberg told Marlborough Patch Monday.

He will be at the First Lutheran Church at 299 Berkeley Street in Boston this week. The church will be hosting a prayer vigil on Friday, April 19th at 12:00 p.m.

Throughout the week, the Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dogs will be in downtown Boston, said Sahlberg.

"These are the same dogs that helped in Newtown," he said.
