MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Marlborough Police Department is asking the public's help with identifying a man caught on surveillance camera recently attempting to break into a local business.

Police told WickedLocal.com the identified man unsuccessfully tried to get inside the Gulf Gas Station on Maple Street early Saturday morning. When that failed, a detective said he then went over to a nearby McDonald's and stole donation money from a container typically located near the restaurant chain's drive-thru windows. He then reached into the drive-thru window after forcing it open and stole a drink.

The person is described as a white man of average size with a thick, dark beard.
