MARLBOROUGH, MA—You look forward to it every year, and plans are well underway.

The Mayor’s biennial Charity Ball takes place on Saturday, May 5, at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Marlborough from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

All proceeds from this event go towards the Mayor’s Charity Relief Fund, a fund that since 1960 has assisted local residents in need of a helping hand during times of emergency or duress. This fund may help a family who lost their possessions in a home fire or who are threatened with eviction, senior citizens whose fuel or light and power are to be terminated, or individuals financially struggling due to a serious illness, according to the announcement.
