MARLBOROUGH, MA — The owners of a 52-year-old Marlborough pizza shop retired last week, but the restaurant will stay open under new ownership.

Post Road Pizza owners Christos and Angeliki Kamboso retired after about 40 years behind the counter. The restaurant will be closed Aug. 1 to Aug. 8 for a vacation before the new owners take over, the family said in a Facebook post.

We wanted to inform everyone that mom and dad have officially hung up their apron and have retired. We cannot thank enough ALL of our customers and employees who became part of our family. We are truly blessed to have wonderful customers and employees that supported us for the past 40 years," the post said.
