Underage Driver Nabbed for Negligent Driving

Spinning front tires and speeding drew the attention of police before they arrested a 15 year-old last week.

“The officer observed the vehicle accelerate out of control spinning the front tires of the vehicle,” said Det. Scott DeCiero of the Community Services Bureau of the Marlborough Police Department.

The police officer continued to observe the vehicle drive down Stevens Street where is reportedly nearly hit another vehicle after crossing over the center line.

“It crossed over the line and passed a vehicle on Stevens Street," said DeCiero.

Police pulled over the car and found that a 15 year-old male was driving it. He had no license, according to police. He was arrested on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation.
