Armed Cape Cod Convict Arrested At Motel: Police
Yarmouth police said Joshua Joaquim threatened a drunk man with a pellet gun and told him to "treat his woman better."

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod convict staying at a motel this week told a drunk man to "treat his woman better" then threatened him with a pellet gun, police said. Joshua Joaquim, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police said Joaquim, who has a criminal record with 49 charges, was staying at the Westerly Winds Motel on Route 28 in Yarmouth. In a nearby room, an intoxicated and a woman were engaged in an argument when Joaquim walked over and told the man to "treat his woman better," police said. Joaquim then went back to his room, retrieved a pellet gun and threatened the man, police said.
The drunk man was taken into protective custody and Joaquim was arrested, police said.
