Cape Cod Fentanyl Raid: Couple Arrested, Police Say

Cape Cod police said "well-known" drug dealers Jeffrey Laurie and Amanda Shewan were arrested and charged with dealing fentanyl and heroin.

DENNIS, MA — A Cape Cod drug raid netted two dealers on heroin and fentanyl charges, police announced Monday. Jeffrey Laurie, 28, and Amanda Shewan, 26, were arrested Friday and charged with conspiracy and dealing fentanyl and heroin. Laurie and Shewan are "well-known" to Cape Cod law enforcement agencies, police said. Laurie has previously been convicted of dealing heroin and fentanyl.

The raid was conducted Friday at about 6 p.m. in Dennis at a Main Street apartment "based on an investigation involving the Yarmouth and Dennis Police Department regarding the distribution of addictive, deadly, and dangerous drugs to residents in both communities," Yarmouth police said in a statement.

Police said officers seized fentanyl, heroin and $9,600 in cash "made through illegal drug sales."
