Cape Cod police said Richard Cincotta was caught selling fentanyl at the Cape Cod Treatment Center in Yarmouth.

YARMOUTH, MA — A Cape Cod man was arrested after selling fentanyl at a treatment center for drug addicts, police announced Friday. Yarmouth police said resident Richard Cincotta, 64, was charged with fentanyl possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy. His criminal history includes a conviction for selling fentanyl, police said.

Cincotta was arrested Friday morning at Cape Cod Treatment Center in Workshop Road. Police said officers saw him sell a packet of fentanyl to a buyer.

"Police ... encountered the buyer in the Stop and Shop parking lot across the street as he was in the process of shooting up the drug," Yarmouth police said in a statement. "The man admitted to what had just occurred and advised the Police Officers that he buys the drugs in the Cape Cod Treatment Center parking lot every other morning—uses the drugs—then returns to Treatment Center to obtain his daily methadone."
