Cape Cod Tip Jar Thief: Police Ask Public's Help

BOURNE, MA — Bourne police are asking the public's help identifying a woman caught on camera stealing cash from a tip jar at a local restaurant. The theft happened at The Lobster Trap on Shore Road Monday, police said.

"Employees ... noticed that money was missing from their tip jar located on the front counter," Bourne police said in a statement. "Upon review of surveillance footage, it was determined that a woman, who entered the restaurant at approximately 5:50 pm, repeatedly took money from the tip jar as she stood by the front counter."

Police added, "Pay careful attention to her mannerisms, clothing, and eye glasses."
