Police Log: OUI Arrest, Cash Stolen, Unwanted "House to be Sold"

Thursday, Oct. 18
5:46 a.m., North and Deerfield. Traffic enforcement, 3 citations issued.
6:53 a.m., Indian Hill Road. Caller reported a truck parked at the end of the road. It could be hunters but she didn't know if they could hunt on conservation land.

7:19 a.m., Hatters Hill Road. Caller reported cars speeding up and down the road. Unfounded.
7:27 a.m., Exchange Street. Millis requested mutual aid for a motor vehicle accident on Exchange Street.

10:36 a.m., Flint Locke Lane. Walk-in report of theft from a car between night of Oct. 15 and morning of Oct. 16. Woman said $30 in cash and her driver's license were taken from her wallet which was in her purse which was in the car.
1:27 p.m., Copperwood Road. Walk-in request for a well-being check on Copperwood Road.
1:36 p.m., Pederzini Drive. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on the street with a suspicious male behind the wheel. Police discovered the car belonged to a worker from a roofing crew working in the area; the man was reading directions when police spoke to him.
2:57 p.m., Erik Road. Walk-in complaint from a woman who said someone put a "House to be Sold" sign on her front window. She said she is being harassed by her neighbors. She refused to give details and refused offer of a report to be written. She returned to the station at 9:09 p.m. to say someone had also tampered with her mailbox.
3:22 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported she is following a car on Main Street that continues to cross the double line, hit the curb twice, and almost hit another car. She said the female is drinking from a clear bottle that looks like a vodka bottle. Caller followed the car into the Shaw's parking lot. Operator Denise Hayes, 61, of Rustic Lane, Medfield, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
4:17 p.m., Wilkens Glen Road. Walk-in report from a man who said both of his license plates were stolen from his vehicle today. The man returned at 5:15 p.m. to say the plates had been recovered.
5:07 p.m., Saw Mill Lane. Caller reported a suspicious male going door to door on Saw Mill Lane. Police discovered the man was with MASSPIRG.
5:48 p.m., Hartford Street. Caller said her 'Sean Bielat' sign is missing from her front lawn and was likely taken last night.
