Police Log: Sudden Death, Stolen Razer Blades Caught on Tape, Tow Needed for One-Car Accident at Transfer Station

Wednesday, Jan. 2

7:38 a.m., High Street and Homestead Drive. E911 caller said his wife just called and was in a car accident at High Street and Homestead Drive. Vehicles included a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2008 Ford Econovan. One vehicle was towed.

7:55 a.m., South Street and Curve Street. Police radioed station to report a possible disabled boxed truck. Police discovered the driver was making a delivery in the area.

10:51 a.m., North Meadows Road. Caller from the transfer station said there was a one-vehicle car accident in the parking lot, no personal injury. A wrecker towed the 2002 Ford Escape. 

11:55 a.m., Miller Street. Robert's Mitchell Funeral Home requested a funeral escort from Miller Street to the Millis town line. 

1:22 p.m., Lawrence Court. Caller reported the sudden death of her mother, age 85, who had previously been under hospice but is not now.

3:44 p.m., Caller reported a 49-year old man with chest pains. Medfield Fire responded and took the man to Norwood Hospital.

4:38 p.m., Main Street. Caller reported a theft of razor blades from the store; theft occurred approximately 2:30 p.m. and was caught on videotape. Value of blades between $500 and $700. 

5:01 p.m., Hawthorne Drive. Police were asked to respond to a family disturbance. Peace was restored.

8:47 p.m., Curtis Drive. Police received a 911 hang-up. Homeowner said his 17 month old baby was playing with the phone. Police confirmed it was accidental by a child.

9:44 p.m., Green Street. E911 caller reported a 29-year old man who went unconscious but now is alert and talking. Medfield Fire responded.

10:13 p.m., Granite Street. Police were asked to respond to a family disturbance. 

Thursday, January 3

5:07 a.m., Curve and South Streets. Traffic enforcement resulted in two citations.

7:57 a.m., Wilkins Glen Road. LifeLine alarm called and said man was having trouble getting out of bed. The Police and Fire departments helped the man.

3:33 p.m., Hartford Street. Caller reported an injured deer in her yard. Animal Control reports the deer went into the woods. 

6:17 p.m., police station. Walk-in report from a woman who said her husband is not feeling well; may have a diabetic reaction. Medfield Fire took him to Norwood Hospital.
