Traffic Disruption on North Street at Green and Cottage Streets

The town has issued the following information regarding the water main project on North Street. Expect traffic at Green and Cottage Streets to be difficult for this week and part of next week. 

The water main replacement project on North Street has reached the intersection of Green Street and Cottage Street. This means that access to North Street from Green Street and Cottage Street will be restricted for the next few days.

Motorists should plan on not being able to access North Street from either one of these streets. This condition will exist from approximately 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until early in the week of Oct. 21.  

Motorists who normally access North Street by traveling on Brook Street and Green Street should consider using Route 27 as an alternative route to the north part of town.

The stores at North Street and Green Street can still be accessed by Green Street and possibly North Street, depending upon the exact location of the work site.
