2nd Arrest Made In Medford Shooting

Medford Police arrested a second suspect in Dorchester Tuesday in connection with an earlier shooting.

MEDFORD, MA — Police arrested a second person Tuesday in connection with a Nov. 1 shooting on Boston Avenue.

Sinai Stephens, 18, of Cambridge, was taken into custody by Medford police detectives in Dorchester on the charges of assault and battery with a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.

According to Medford police, two individuals shot at a person at approximately 1 a.m. that Friday morning. Officers on the scene located a firearm along with several shell casings. There were no reported injuries.

A 16-year old juvenile was arrested Nov. 5 in connection to the shooting. In addition to the Medford Police Department, the Cambridge and State Police departments also assisted in Sinai’s arrest.
