Medford Man Who Allegedly Beat Homeless Man in Boston Arrested Again: One of two Medford men who allegedly brutally beat a homeless man in Boston last year was arrested at his Medford home Friday for skipping court appearances, according to transit police. Marc Sico and James Marino, both 21 and of Medford were arrested in Boston's Back Bay last March after police allegedly spotted them punching and kicking a sleeping homeless man. Boston and Transit Police searched the area and found the suspects; both were charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
Does James Marzilli Deserve His State Pension?: James Marzilli, the former state senator who represented Arlington and Medford who pleaded guilty last year to lewdly harassing four women on the streets of Lowell in 2008, will receive his $14,000-per-year state pension, according to an AP report on Boston.com. The state Retirement Board granted Marzilli his pension Thursday after determining that his crimes “were not connected to his official duties as a lawmaker,” according to the report. Marzilli had been seeking a pension of $26,000 per year, which, under an old law, is given to incumbents who lost an election.
