The Genesis Community Church in Woburn will hold a gathering in DeMella's memory at 7 p.m. this evening. DeMella was killed Sunday in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. after a car barreled into her and her husband's poolside vacation cabana. She was 7 months pregnant.

2. Could Hit 80 Degrees: Highs could touch 80 today, according to the National Weather Service. Highs tomorrow could reach the mid-80s.

Medford Vocational High School students repaired a World War II veterans ride as part of a collision course at the school.

State Senator Patricia Jehlen was honored as Legislator of the Year by the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council and The Arc of Massachusetts for her work on behalf of the disabled.
