Instead, the MBTA will offer a 10-ride pass that must be used within 30 days of purchase.
2. Weather: There's a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms today with highs expected in the upper-50s, according to the National Weather Service.

4. Medford Man, Army Medic, to March Boston Marathon in Memory of Father: Army medic and Medford resident Mike Struppa will March the Boston Marathon this year to raise money for suicide prevention. Struppa will be in full uniform with a 35-pound rucksack on his back for the 26.2 mile march from Hopkinton to Boston to raise money for Samaritans, a non-profit organization that aims at reducing suicide.
