Medford City Councilors were shown how the area around Boston Avenue and Mystic Valley Parkway could be redeveloped if the Green Line were brought there. They also heard from residents, some who critiqued the development vision, or the possibility of the project in general, and others who supported it.
2. Crosswalk Safety: Residents in area of George Street at Winthrop Street visited the city council Tuesday night, seeking safety improvements to the crosswalk at the intersection. 3. City Holiday Celebration Set: The 24th annual Medford Holiday Celebration is set for Wednesday, Nov. 30. Head to City Hall between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for the event, which will feature a visit from Santa and his Elves,, the Jingle Bell Decorated Tree Festival Fundraiser and lighting of a Christmas tree, Menorah and Kwanza Kinara.
4. Rain Likely: There's a 60 percent chance of rain today with highs expected to top out around 60 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Rain will most likely come between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
