The flag is in honor of veterans, but also what the flag stands for, Mayor Michael McGlynn said in a written statement.
“In Medford, we always take the time to honor not only our veterans who made great sacrifices in order to protect our freedoms, but we also take the time to honor our Flag, which is the symbol of freedom around the world,” McGlynn said.
The Flag was scheduled to remain on City Hall until 5:00 p.m. Thursday.
