An Arlington man was one of 32 Massachusetts men arrested last week on child pornography charges in a weeklong sweep performed by federal, state and local law enforcement. Jacob Hall, 27, of 10 Yerxa Road, was arrested Wednesday during “Operation Corral,” which targeted offenders across the state. Hall is being charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of dissemination of child pornography, according to a release from the state police. -John Waller

A car collided into a mailbox in front of 778 Main St. in Winchester and continued to drive until his vehicle struck the northeast corner of . The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out after initially declining any further medical assessment than what paramedics provided. The driver seemed confused and told the police he “did not know what happened, all of a sudden (he) was an accident,” Officer Steven Fields said in his report. Charlestown residents will soon have another Navy Yard restaurant to visit if the owner of Navy Yard Bistro and Wine Bar has his way. John Moore visited the Charlestown Neighborhood Council last week to explain his plans for Positano, which he said could open at 250 First Avenue as soon as December. “I’d love to start construction in August sometime,” Moore said. A folder Moore distributed to the council described Positano as a “modern Coastal Italian restaurant where guests will enjoy homemade pastas, brick oven pizzas, fresh seafood and high quality meats amongst beautiful harbor and city views.” -Matt M.
