Candidate Forums Coming To Medford Ahead Of Election

Two forums are scheduled to give candidates from some of the most contested races a chance to speak.

MEDFORD, MA — The city’s Democratic Committee is hosting two candidate forum events ahead of the municipal election on Tuesday, Nov 4.

The first event is slated for Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and will feature all School Committee and Mayoral candidates. Incumbent mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn is running unopposed, while nine candidates are in the running for six School Committee seats. Incumbents Nicole Branley, John Intoppa, Aaron Olapade, Jenny Graham, Paul Ruseau, and Erika Reinfeld are all running for reelection along with challengers Lisa Dover Kingsley, Jessica Eisenman Parks, and Michael Mastrobuoni.

The second event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. and will feature City Council candidates. 14 candidates are competing for 7 spots after September’s preliminary election. Both events are taking place at Medford High School’s Caron Theater on Winthrop Street.
