First Day of School; Driver Hits Pedestrian, Gets Arrested; Remembering 9/11

Day One: Medford Public Schools open their doors to begin the 2011-2012 school year today. Find info on bus routes and more at the Medford schools' website.

A Stoneham man faces multiple charges after allegedly striking a pedestrian with his car near the Medford/Stoneham line Tuesday morning. About 10:30 a.m., an Infiniti Q45 driven by Troy Sealy, 30, of Stoneham, struck a man near Flynn Rink, according to State Police Trooper Thomas Murphy.

Tufts Chemists Make World's Smallest Motor: Chemists at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences have developed the world's first single molecule electric motor, a development that may potentially create a new class of devices that could be used in applications ranging from medicine to engineering.
