1. CITY COUNCIL: The Medford City Council will meet for the first time in two weeks tonight for a regular meeting starting at 7 p.m. at City Hall. Here is their agenda.

2. THEROUX IN THE NEW YORKER: A short story by Medford native and author Paul Theroux appears in the Feb. 25 edition of the New Yorker (subscription required). Theroux, perhaps best known as the author of the novel The Mosquito Coast, wrote "The Furies" about a man who returns to Medford for his 40th high school reunion.
