Give: McGlynn School Holds Annual Holiday Food Drive
School is accepting donations for local families in need.

The following was provided by Allison Goldsberry on behalf of Medford Public Schools:
The McGlynn Elementary School is holding its fourth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The Food Drive was established to give families in need an opportunity to have a good, balanced meal in time for the holiday season. Students in grades K- 5, as well as staff, are collecting non-perishable food items or monetary donations until November 18th.
The food items will then be sorted into boxes which will be distributed to individual families within the community as well as local food pantries. The school is working with the Medford Family Network in identifying families who would benefit from a box of food. Otherwise, large boxes of food will be distributed to the Church of Evangelical Holiness and St. Francis Parish.

Other community members who would like to donate non-perishable food items, or monetary donations that will go towards turkey vouchers are highly encouraged to bring in items to McGlynn Elementary School’s main office. In addition, families can bring their donations to Stop and Shop, where there will be a drop off box.
In these tough financial times, every effort, no matter how small, is appreciated. In this time of giving thanks for what we have, we now have an opportunity to give back to others to make a difference in lives throughout our community.
