EVERETT, MA — Slot machine players at Encore Casino in Everett were unable to cash out for a period of time Friday night, thanks to a system glitch that took the slot machine ticketing system offline. According to WBZ, which first reported this story, casino staff had to resort to "<a href="https://wbznewsradio.iheart.com/content/2020-02-22-a-power-glitch-at-encore-casino-impacted-slot-machine-payouts-friday-night/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">hand-paid payouts</a>" and players had their money "stuck in machines," even if they had not won. An Encore spokesman said Saturday the issue had been resolved.
