How To Save For College? State Treasurer, Others Speaking at McGlynn Tonight

MEDFORD, MA - State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg will speak about preparing for college Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the McGlynn Middle School.

Goldberg will speak on "Preparing for College, the Proactive Steps and Financial Resources." The discussion is being held by he Medford Public Schools Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility and the Guidance Department.

“It is a pleasure to be able to welcome Treasurer Goldberg to the Medford Public Schools. Her knowledge and expertise are a wonderful resource for our Medford parents”, said Superintendent Roy Belson in a statement.

Other speakers will include: Director of Financial Aid and Manager of Student Financial Services for Tufts University Patricia Reilly, Claire Masinton from Attorney General Maura Healey’s Office, and Jonathan Hughes from the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority.

Topics that will be touched on include: Importance of post-high school education, financial planning, financial aid and FAFSA basics, and academic planning and financial literacy tips.
