Hundreds Line Up to Meet Cam Neely; Governor Praises 'Fast14'

: Gov. Deval Patrick paid a visit to the headquarters of the "Fast14" rapid bridge replace project Tuesday, praising those involved with the work.

"The fact that you are trying to do things in some innovative ways, and doing it in ways that just sing, and get national recognition, it makes me really proud,” Patrick said.

Those waiting in line to meet the Hall of Fame forward included a couple with matching Bruins Stanley Cup tattoos, an 8-year-old named after Cam, and two Naval petty officers who were looking to convince Neely to bring the Cup to the U.S.S. Constitution.

As part of an ongoing investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, police arrested an alleged heroin dealer at the parking lot of Johnnie's Foodmaster in West Somerville Thursday, according to a police report.

Louis Gersh, a 52-year-old man from 82 Cotting St. in Medford, was arrested after being the target of an investigation into his alleged dealing, the report says.

The Heat is ON: The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch, as tempuratures are expected to top out around 90 today and climb into the upper 90s tomorrow and Friday.
