June Home Sales Down in Medford, State-Wide

Home sales in Medford last month were a little slower than last year, according to data from a real estate research agency.

There were 16 home sales in Medford last month, down from 24 in June 2010, according to data from the Warren Group.

Overall, single-family home sales were down 4.6 percent through June compared to 2010. A total of 104 homes sold in Medford so far this year and 109 sold through June 2010, the data said.

State-wide, home sales were 23.5 percent lower in June than last year, when 5,639 were sold. A total of 4,243 homes sold in the state in June in 2011, according to a press release from the Warren Group.

It was the slowest June in the state in terms of real estate sales since 1991, the press release said.
