Last Chance: 'Father of Microcredit' to Speak at Tufts Friday, NBC's Brian Williams Next Week

Both lectures are free and open to the public.

Tufts University will host two significant speakers in coming days, first economist Muhammad Yunus on Friday, then NBC News Anchor Brian Williams on Monday.

Both lectures are free and open to the public; tickets for the Yunus event can be reserved in advance by calling Heather Montana at 617-627-4230, while seating for the discussion with Brian Williams will be on a first come, first served basis, according to a Tufts University press release.

Dubbed the "Father of Microcredit," the Nobel Laureate Yunus will speak at Cohen Auditorium at 4 p.m. Friday in a lecture called "Social Business Can Address Pressing Social Problems." It will be followed by a Q and A.

Williams will be the guest of the 7th annual seventh Edward R. Murrow Forum on Issues in Journalism, held Monday April 23 at 12 p.m. at Distler Performance Hall. He is expected to discuss politics and election coverage.
