Medford's state legislators and chamber of commerce will hold a forum this week on the state's transportation system and future.

Massachusetts Transportation Secretary Richard Davey will be presenting "The Way Forward: A 21st Century Transportation Plan" and that will be followed by a panel discussion.

The forum "aims to inform the community of current proposals for how to bring Massachusetts’ transportation system into a state of good repair. It will focus on the importance of transportation to residents and businesses alike, as a part of the statewide conversation," according to a statement from Jehlen's office.

In a recent letter, Jehlen said the state's transportation funding "is at a crisis point."
