Medford Among 'Best Places to Live 2013' Per Boston Magazine
The publication looks at what are among the best places for young buyers, and Medford made the cut.

The accolades keep rolling in for Medford has a great place to live in the Boston area for young home buyers.
Medford was named one of the "Best Places to Live 2013" in the March issue of Boston magazine. The magazine was highlighting some of the "great sleeper locations for first-time home buyers locally."
Playing off the popular colloquialism for the city's name, Boston said "Meffa has become Mecca for young, urban buyers" and touted its median home price of $355,000.

Boston praised Medford for its "open space, new riverside bike path, and happening restaurant scene," saying they are "attracting young creatives in droves" to the city.
Medford's single-family homes are a third-less expensive than similar properties in Somerville and one of the lowest tax rates locally, according to the magazine.

Boston specifically mentioned two developments, River's Edge and Station Landing, that are attracting younger buyers. Â
